Senior Wellness Fair at May School of Nursing and Health Sciences to be held November 9

November 06, 2015

The May School of Nursing and Health Sciences, in partnership with Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge, Life Care of Banner Elk, and the Williams YMCA is presenting this opportunity for area seniors (all ages are welcome) to meet with medical professionals to receive information about depression, fall prevention and balance, medication management, nutrition, dementia, diabetes and home safety. Blood pressure, blood glucose and oxygen saturation screening will be available. Free living will and health power of attorney using the "5 Wishes" document will be available.

You are encouraged to bring your medications with you so that, with the help of medical professionals, you become better informed and knowledgeable about the medicines you are taking.

The fair will take place on Monday, November 9 from 1 - 3 p.m. at the May School of Nursing and Health Sciences on the campus of Lees-McRae College.

For more information, contact Sheila or Kay at the YMCA at 828.737.5500.
