June 01, 2017

Learn about drama, dance, music, technical theater, writing and other art forms at the Creative and Performing Arts Camp on the campus of Lees-McRae College this summer.

Commonly referred to as CAPA, the day camp will offer two summer sessions, one for high school level students from June 24–30 and another for pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from June 26–30.

Led by Lees-McRae adjunct dance faculty, Stacey Burgess Trivett, each day will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m.

Camp pricing includes lunch and snacks each day as well as transportation to field trips. Camp costs are $300 for the high school camp and $220 for the pre-kindergarten through eighth grade camp.

Those interested in participating in either program are strongly urged to apply and register by Thursday, June 15.

The goal of the program is to provide opportunities for students of all ages to discover their own creative potential through a wide range of arts disciplines. Sessions include crafts, storytelling, music, dance, theater sessions, creative writing among several other topics and workshops.
