Summer Theatre children’s show, Screen Test, to debut June 17

June 09, 2017

Lees-McRae Summer Theatre will kick off the 2017 season with the debut of Screen Test on June 17 as part of the theatre for young audiences.

Written by Janet Barton Speer and directed by Jennifer Poarch with music by John Thomas Oaks, the hour-long show, which is suitable for children and adults of all ages, gently reminds children that too much time spent with technological addictions can be detrimental to a healthy lifestyle.

The show begins at 10 a.m. in the Dotti M. Shelton Learning Commons on the campus of Lees-McRae College with additional shows on July 1, 8 and 22.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door prior to show time.

Tickets can also be purchased at the box office during regular hours beginning June 14 or online.
