Lees-McRae is returning to the College’s residential roots, with all Banner Elk students living in tiered on-campus housing, including traditional residence halls, suite-style apartments and shared houses. Students lead group activities and programs through service as resident directors and assistants.

Pet Friendly Campus

Pet-Friendly Campus

Lees-McRae is pet-friendly, with faculty and staff members encouraged to bring pets to work. Students have the privilege of bringing their family pet to live in certain residence halls. Students can apply for the program through the Office of Residence Life.

Lees-McRae is committed to providing its students and employees with a healthful environment. The college views the use of tobacco products as detrimental to the health of students, staff, faculty and visitors, and prohibits its use on campus grounds.
