Lees-McRae College announces the 2011 Summer School schedule with courses beginning May 16. Several courses will be offered between May 16 and July 22, both for academic credit and non-credit.
Courses offered this summer include Appalachian Women, Integrating Photography and Feature Writing, First Aid/CPR, Appalachian Ecology, Appalachian Documentary, Creative Writing: Haunted Appalachia, Social Dance, Rock Climbing, Outdoor Adventure Leadership, Social Psychology, Mythology and Religion of Ancient Greece, Spanish and Latin American Film and many others.
The cost of Summer School classes for credit is $249 per credit hour. Textbooks may be purchased at The Exchange Campus Bookstore. Students are encouraged to confirm textbook requirements with professors.
Course schedules vary by dates and times, and are offered at different intervals throughout the summer session. Courses also vary by format: traditional seated courses, online courses and hybrid courses that are a mix of traditional and online formats. See the full course schedule for specific dates and times.
