Homecoming and Alumni Frolic Week dates announced

The Lees-McRae College Alumni Board is pleased to announce dates for Alumni Frolic Week and Homecoming Weekend 2011.

First, you're invited to beat the heat of the summer in Banner Elk by joining your fellow alumni and friends on campus for Alumni Frolic Week July 8-17.

Then, make plans to attend Homecoming Weekend Sept. 30-Oct. 2 for reunions, NCAA women's and men's soccer complete with a tailgate on Bobcat Bank, the annual parade, the Alumni Social, and so much more.

Currently, the classes of 1956, 1961, 1976, 1986, 1991 and 2001 are all planning reunions during Homecoming. Alumni will find a "Save the Date" postcard in mailboxes soon.

Alumni Frolic Week programming begins on Wednesday, July 13 with "Barbeque and Bluegrass" on Tate Lawn. The Annual Alumni Arts and Crafts Show will feature handmade goods from alumni and friends of the College throughout the week with 30 percent of proceeds supporting the Alumni Arts and Crafts Show Scholarship.

The week will also include enriching classes for lifelong learners and reunions to reconnect with old friends. Detailed information will be mailed to alumni in April.

For more information, or if you're interested in planning a reunion for your class, contact Michelle Vance Scott in the Advancement Office at (828) 898-2489 or scottmv@lmc.edu.
