Class Agents Elevated

Forty-three alumni are currently serving Lees-McRae as class agents. This personalized, peer-to-peer communication to more than one-third of the total 6,300 alumni population is elevating participation in annual giving and elevating engagement in alumni relations.

During the 2013 Homecoming & Family Weekend Green & Gold Alumni Awards Brunch, the inaugural recipient of the the highest annual giving participation percentage was the Class of 1959. The Captain’s Class Agent Award was named after alumni trustee representative and alumni board advancement committee chair, Capt. Ken Sullivan (ret.), also Class of 1959. It was quite a moment to witness Capt. Sullivan present the award to his classmate, Betty Jones Walker, class agent for 1959.

Only seven class years remain without an agent!
