Lees-McRae inducts 20 students into the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society

The North Carolina Chi chapter of Alpha Chi National College Honor Society recently held its spring induction ceremony during which twenty students, representing the top ten percent of the junior and senior class, were inducted on the campus of Lees-McRae. Founded in 1922, Alpha Chi was established to recognize academic achievement. Today, Alpha Chi has chapters at 300 college campuses across the United States.

This year’s inductees were Rachel Boone, Jamison Carrigan, Karen Carver, Abby Casteel, Layana Desouza, John Dyer, Laren Evans, Darlene Haley, Samantha Harris, Claire Jordan, Dusty Kurkimilis, Sarah McGuire, Hayden Moses, Matthew Murphy, Rachael Nobbs, Emily Shields, Katherine Shields, Tabatha Smith, Melissa Toomey and John Wolf.

Each student was assisted at the ceremony by a distinguished faculty mentor who was also recognized at the induction ceremony.
