Study Abroad

One of the best ways to gain a new and unique perspective on the world is to study abroad while you are in college. Most of the students who spend a semester or a year abroad remember it with fond memories many years after they graduate from college. A study abroad opportunity also looks very good on a resume because it demonstrates to potential employers that you are willing to move outside your comfort zone, embrace new and different ideas and cultures and apply these skills to your job.

The college has partnered with several organizations who arrange study abroad locations, travel and visa requirements. The credit for such travel is awarded by Lees-McRae College and will be arranged, prior to the trip, through the office of Academic Affairs. In some cases, there is financial assistance available and that will be coordinated through the Financial Aid office.

Lees-McRae College formed a partnership with Hannam University in 2010. Hannam University is located in Daejeon, Korea. The partnership allows for two Lees-McRae College students to study at Hannam University during one semester or six students and one faculty to study during a summer term.
