A special and increasingly important component of Lees-McRae College, our Extended Campus (ECP) programs are designed for non-traditional students. Students entering ECP have already completed a minimum of two years of study toward a four-year degree.
Although Extended Campus Programs are located away from the main college campus in Banner Elk, they are still dedicated to the unique Lees-McRae approach to education.
Lees-McRae's Extended Campus Programs are student-centered with a caring and compassionate approach to learning. ECP students not only gain a degree from Lees-McRae, but also a sense of community.
“Lees-McRae College is renowned for providing high-quality education with a personal touch. Through collaborations with regional community colleges, LMC can offer the same personalized higher education experience in other locations. These programs are intense and efficient; for students who bring in at least four semesters of college-level work, degrees can be completed in two years. A degree through the Lees-McRae College Extended Campus program is a great way to improve your position in your current career path, or to prepare yourself for a new one!"
