Application Information


Steps to Admission

To be considered for Extended Campus admission, please submit:

  1. Completed application (online or contact your site coordinator for a paper application)
  2. Pay your $35 application fee online or by check:
    Office of Extended Campus, PO Box 128, Banner Elk, NC 28604
  3. Official transcripts from all colleges attended
  4. Program specific requirements (See below for more details.)

If there are special circumstances to consider regarding your academic and/or personal background, please submit a brief essay with an explanation. In addition, academic recommendations or an interview may be required.

Once your file is complete, you will be notified of your admission decision within two weeks. Students are automatically reviewed for academic merit scholarships as part of the admission process.


Program specific Requirements

Elementary Education Specific Admissions Requirements

Upon admission to Lees-McRae College Extended Campus Program, students must submit passing Praxis I scores (522 combined or higher) to continue past the first semester of the program.


B-K Specific Admissions Requirements

Upon admission to Lees-McRae College Extended Campus Program, students must submit passing Praxis I scores (522 combined or higher) to continue past the first semester of the program.


RN to BSN Specific Admissions Requirements

In order to be admitted to Lees-McRae College Extended Campus Program, students must provide the following:


After Acceptence

Congratulations, you’ve been admitted! To reserve your place, please provide:

  1. $100 tuition deposit to reserve your place (Deposits are refundable until May 1 for fall admission and until December 1 for spring admission.)
  2.  Necessary financial aid paperwork
