Biology can be considered to be a continuum of fields ranging from the molecular level to the ecosystem level. Lees-McRae College offers a degree in Biology with concentrations in General Biology, Wildlife Biology, Wildlife Rehabilitation, Nutrition and Pre-Professional Science that reflect this diversity.

Our concentrations allow students to focus on the portion of this continuum that interests them the most and will prepare students for graduate or professional school or for careers in that discipline, at the same time insuring that all students graduate with a good background in prevailing biological techniques, theories and principles.

The field of Biology encompasses a wide array of disciplines with numerous career opportunities. At the collegiate level, this diversity is reflected in varied course offerings in the Biological Sciences.

Lees-McRae College offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with five areas of concentration: General Biology, Pre-Professional Biology, Wildlife Biology, Wildlife Rehabilitation and Nutrition. Each concentration provides students with a knowledge base of the respective field with corresponding courses matched to prepare students for graduate programs, professional programs and careers in that field.
