Religious Studies

Students majoring in Religious Studies develop an enlightened perspective from which to approach religious traditions and other academic disciplines. The major lays the groundwork for introductory and advanced study, and students have the option to pursue careers in professional ministry or other fields of study. Students who are planning to pursue a career in ministry, or in other areas such as business, law, and counseling will find the resources and encouragement they need in this program of study. The major has been designed to offer inter-disciplinary options--in psychology, outdoor studies, arts ministry, and spirituality.

"If you're interested in the study of religion--in all its complexity, richness, and variety--as a phenomenon of human existence in a liberal arts environment, you should consider a major in religious studies."
- Dr. Kenneth Craig Professor of Religious Studies
