Lees-McRae hosts representative from Monsanto Company for academic discussions


On Monday, October 27, the Division of Business Administration hosted Dr. Michael Lohuis, director of academic engagement for Monsanto Company, for a day of academic, research-based discussion among students, faculty and staff. Division of Business Administration hosts five student internship presentations


On Monday, August 25, the Division of Business Administration hosted student internship presentations in Evans Auditorium at Lees-McRae College. Five students gave presentations detailing their for-credit internship experiences. The night was host to a variety of audience members, including students, faculty, staff, College President Dr. Buxton, several members of the Board of Trustees and Business Advisory Council, and community guests. Students stated their internships were “life changing experience[s],” and felt as if the “classroom [came] to real life.” Read more

LMC business students get hands-on experience at AC PRIDE


If you’re lucky, you might snag an internship before you graduate from college, but it will probably consist of manning the copier and getting coffee. Lees-McRae Enactus Team travels to S&D Coffee in Concord, N.C.


On Monday, January 13, six members of the Lees-McRae Enactus Team, along with Enactus advisor Amy Taylor and faculty member Joe Walsh, traveled to S & D Coffee in Concord, North Carolina. The day included a tour of the facilities as well as a presentation on the production and development of its products. Read more
