About the Musical Theatre Program at Lees-McRae College

The BFA degree in Musical Theatre is rooted in the liberal arts tradition of Lees-McRae College and is designed to prepare students to pursue careers as performers and leaders in musical theatre. Entrance into the BFA in Musical Theatre is by audition only. Transfer students should audition in the semester before they plan to enter Lees-McRae College. Continuation in the BFA program is dependent on continued progress in the degree program and minimum GPA requirements.

BFA students are required to complete only two competencies -- Competency Two: Performance and Competency Five: Critical, Cultural and Historical Perspectives -- but are required to complete coursework in all five competency areas.

For more information concerning the requirements and deadlines for admission to the BFA program, contact the BFA coordinator.
