Division of Humanities

The Division of Humanities offers interdisciplinary, broad-based programs that explore the foundations of human culture and its flowering across the centuries. As one component of a liberal arts education, study of the humanities at Lees-McRae occurs through a variety of academic disciplines, including English, History, Religion, and foreign languages. Students explore the many facets of our cultural heritage through important works of creative authors, historians, scholars, and philosophers, and develop the ability to comprehend, analyze, synthesize, and communicate their findings in clear and effective oral and written presentations.
