    Who can get a tailgate pass?

    Homecoming is an enjoyable event for all of our Bobcat Family and we want all aspects of campus involved in the tailgate. We reserve spaces for students, student organizations, faculty, staff, parents and alumni. 


    When can I get request a tailgate pass?

    The request form will be available at 9 a.m. on Thursday, September 14 on this webpage. No requests will be accepted via email, phone or personal requests. Tailgate spots will be filled based on the order they are received.  


    How much do tailgate passes cost?

    We want everyone to enjoy the homecoming games and not worry about cost. Therefore, all spots are free!


    Where do I pick up my tailgate pass?

    Passes will be available for pick up from the Alumni House on Friday, September 29 between 2 and 6 p.m. and again on Saturday beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Bobcat Bank. If you do not use your tailgate pass you will lose the ability to reserve a spot the following year. The tailgate spots will not open until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 30.  


    Can I pick where I want to tailgate?

    No, no one is allowed to select which spot they want.  


    How many tailgate spots can I reserve?

    We limit each person, group or organization to one spot. Please respect your space and those in the spots around you.  


    Is electricity available?

    Electricity is not provided by the school. If you are in need of power, we recommend that you use your vehicle to power any audio or video equipment. AC converters can be purchased at most electronics stores. 


    Are there any setup and/or cleanup requirements?

    Yes, we are blessed to live in such a beautiful area in the mountains and need to respect the environment around us.  Please remove all trash from your spot before leaving.  


    What are the rules regarding alcohol consumption at tailgates?

    For Homecoming only, Lees-McRae College is allowing those of 21 years of age and older to consume alcoholic beverages while tailgating. Those that are consuming or in possession of alcohol must be able to present a valid form of I.D. (Unexpired state issued driver’s license, U.S. Military I.D., State of N.C. Special Identification Card, Official Passport). Liquor, kegs and glass containers are not permitted in any location.

    Can I bring my grill to my tailgate?

    The Lees-McRae College tailgating policy states that propane and charcoal grills are the only permissible sources of heat for cooking. Hot coals must be completely extinguished with water prior to leaving the tailgating site. Open flame fires, including fire pits, are prohibited.
