Dear Alumni,
Lucky. That’s what I think I am and for anyone else who has had the wonderful opportunity to attend Lees-McRae College. A couple of years ago, the Alumni Association Homecoming Parade float made a simple, yet profound statement: “If you are lucky enough to be a Bobcat, you are lucky enough!” It’s true.
I walk through campus now smiling from ear to ear thinking of all the fond memories that were created here and I look forward to the new ones. Lucky, that’s what I am! Just close your eyes and walk through campus in your mind… gathering at the fountain in front of the North Carolina building between classes, getting around in the snow, enjoying a game at Tate Field with fall colors blazing on the mountains.
So, I invite alumni to come back and let your memories come to life on this beautiful campus. Alumni Frolic Week in July is a great opportunity for you and your family to experience Banner Elk’s summer season at rates that can’t be beat anywhere! Homecoming is a fun filled weekend with classmates and friends. As always, it’s a great day to be a Bobcat!
