What a special year for Lees-McRae College! On October 2, we will inaugurate the College’s 15th President, Dr. Barry M. Buxton.
In this brochure, you will find a host of events that celebrate this auspicious occasion, as well as opportunities to connect with alumni, parents, and friends of Lees-McRae College. You don’t want to miss this historic weekend.

Friday, October 1
3 p.m. – 5 p.m. Welcome and Registration
Welcome to Lees-McRae College! Take a load off and start your weekend by enjoying the High Country with a glass of wine when you register and pick up your packet of Homecoming information.

5:30 p.m. Hall of Fame Dinner
Share your favorite LMC sports moments and celebrate the 2010 inductees: Robert G. Ball ’82 (football), Randy Bloemendaal ’92 (tennis), Robin Scott ’95 (basketball), and Brent Bookwalter ’06 (cycling).

Show your Tartan Pride in the 2010 Homecoming Parade, one of the most recognizable traditions of a Lees-McRae Homecoming. Celebrate Inauguration Day 2010 by saying goodbye to the old and welcoming in the new. This event will include cocktails, dinner and entertainment by Nightlife Band. A portion of your ticket price will fund an annual scholarship at LMC. Black Tie or Scottish Highland dress is required.
