On Monday night, April 9, the Lees-McRae College Competition Rock Climbing Team hosted the second annual “Climb for the Cure” as a fundraising event for Relay for Life. The members of the team created over 20 new routes for this special rock climbing competition for LMC students. The participants had about two hours to climb the routes that ranged from beginner to intermediate level of difficulty.
Participants paid an entry fee of $3.00 per person, and donations for Relay for Life were also accepted. Local businesses donated equipment and items for prizes. All of the participants were proud of participating in an event to support Relay for Life.
