Staying On Campus During Thanksgiving Break

During Thanksgiving Break, students may stay on campus at a rate of $15/night. All dining services will be closed for the break. If the student will be in his/her room any time during the break, he/she must sign up in the Student Development Office and sign the Thanksgiving Break housing agreement form. Card access will be shut off for all individuals who have not signed up for security reasons, so it is imperative that you sign up in SDO indicating that you are staying on campus.

To stay on campus during Thanksgiving Break, you must adhere to the following:

  • Each student must sign up in the Student Development Office and must sign the break housing agreement form. Sign-ups will begin on Monday, November 13.
  • Students that are registered/approved to stay on campus will be charged $15 per night (charged to account).
  • If you are staying for athlete-related purposes, you must be on your coach’s list for approved individuals to avoid being charged. You will still need to sign up in SDO and sign the break housing agreement form.
  • Deadline to sign up is Tuesday, November 21 by 11 a.m.
  • Only residents may stay (no guests without prior approval by residence life staff).
  • All campus and housing policies remain in effect.
  • All parking policies remain in effect.
  • Violations of above policies may lead to immediate removal from campus and/or conduct charges.

If you are not registered with the Student Development Office, you cannot be in campus housing. You will be asked by security and residence life staff to leave the building immediately and will be judicially and financially charged for violating campus policy.

The residence life staff, facilities and security will be conducting health and safety inspections, rounds, and maintenance during the break. Check with a residence life staff member for additional information.
