New Calendar Service Launched

Cooperating For You…
The College Web Master (Nick Young) and the Director of Communications (Sunny Townes), would like to announce the launch of a new and improved service for the Lees-McRae College community.

What is it?
“WebCAL” is an online source for schedules and events that allows visitors to view complete calendars, as well as individual categories of events that are happening at and around Lees-McRae.

Day/Week/Month/Year – It’s Your Choice…
You can choose whether you want to view 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, or 1 year. It’s your choice, and WebCAL allows you to quickly view which dates have events scheduled by appearing in bold. Simply click on the date, and you are taken to the single day view to examine the events more closely.

WebCAL plays with “Outlook” and “iCal”…
One of the most exciting and useful features of WebCAL is the ability for visitors to export events directly from the website, into their own personal calendar, such as Microsoft Outlook, or Apple iCal. Trusted users can also import entries from their own calendar into WebCAL for everyone to view. This enables people from all over campus to assist in keeping WebCAL up to date.

What’s That on the Horizon?…
At the top of each page, the link to “A Quick Look Ahead” allows an immediate view of the events scheduled for the next 3 days. This allows visitors to quickly examine approaching events, without having to sort through the entire calendar.

Find Events With Ease…
WebCAL makes it easy to search for events. Use the “Search Calendar” link at the top of each page to perform a keyword search through the entire list of events. Events are also categorized for you, so you can show only those events that match an existing type (The Arts, Athletics, College Programs etc.).

See For Yourself…
Now that you’re intrigued, visit WebCAL now and see which events interest you.

WebCAL is located at this easy to remember address: WebCal.lmc.edu
