Get in the holiday spirit with a screening of Arthur Christmas!

Saturday, December 6 at 2 p.m. in Evans Auditorium
Join us for hot chocolate, cookies and holiday crafts from 1:30 – 2 p.m.

The screening of Arthur Christmas is part of Banner Elk’s Christmas in the Park. The festivities include:

  • Breakfast with Santa at Dunn's Deli
  • Parade of Lights
  • Train Rides in the Park
  • Santa's Workshop
  • Letter to Santa Station
  • Live Nativity Scene
  • Luminaries in the Park

Thanksgiving Break | November 26 - 28

There will be no classes held November 26 – 28 due to Thanksgiving Break. 

Dining Services
MacDonald Dining Hall will close after dinner on Tuesday, November 25 and will reopen for dinner on Sunday, November 30. Wily’s Bar & Grill will close after lunch on Tuesday, November 25 and reopen for lunch on Monday, December 1. 

Residence Halls
Residence Halls will close at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25.
Residence Halls will reopen on Sunday, November 30 at 2 p.m.

Rules and Regulations
If a student will be in his/her room anytime during the break, he/she must notify the Student Development Office by Friday, November 21. Those staying on campus during breaks must adhere to the following:

•   Must be on permission list; see Student Development Office for permission
•   Only residents may stay (no guests without prior approval by Residence Life staff)
•   All policies remain in effect
•   The exterior doors to the residence halls will remain locked at all times
•   Students will be charged $15 per night to stay on campus during breaks

Message from Association Members

We are happy to introduce to you the Lees-McRae College Family Association. If you have a student at LMC, you are automatically a member of the Family Association. Your membership is free, and we hope it will provide you opportunities to be more involved in the Lees-McRae experience.  This page includes information about campus events, Banner Elk accommodations, things to do in the area, campus contact information, the academic calendar and much more. Also, if you are a member of Facebook, please “like” the Lees-McRae Family Association Facebook. This will give you another opportunity to stay connected to campus.
