Admissions Requirements

To be considered for Online Learning admission:

  1. Submit completed application (online or contact your site coordinator for a paper application)
  2. Pay your $35 application fee online* or by check: Office of Extended Campus and Online Learning, PO Box 128, Banner Elk, NC 28604
  3. Submit official transcripts from ALL colleges attended
  4. Review program-specific requirements (see below for more details)

 
If there are special circumstances to consider regarding your academic and/or personal background, please submit a brief essay with an explanation. In addition, academic recommendations or an interview may be required.

Once your file is complete, you will be notified of your admission decision within two weeks. Students are automatically reviewed for academic merit scholarships as part of the admission process.

*An Electronic Payment Service Fee of 2.38% for all credit/debit card transactions and $1.00 for all E-check/ACH transactions will apply.

Upon admission to Lees-McRae College, students must submit Praxis I scores (522 combined or higher) to continue past the first semester of the program.
