The Office of Outdoor Programs offers students the opportunity to participate in outdoor educational experiences. The programs educate students on essential leadership skills and challenges them to be active participants in their environment and in their own lives.
The backcountry service learning experiences offer students the opportunity to perform trail maintenance work, improve rock climbing areas, and really give of themselves by donating their time and energy to help ensure a quality wilderness environment for future generations to enjoy.
All Lees-McRae College rock climbing, hiking and backpacking programs taking place on National Forest Service Lands are authorized under a Special Use Permit by the Pisgah National Forest.
