Avery is home to women of all classes. It is conveniently a few steps from the Cannon Student Center and the MacDonald Dining Hall. Floors are designated per class and there is also a Freshman Honors Hall. Bathrooms are located on each hall.

Baldwin is a Pet-Friendly residence with respective floors for both men and women.

Bentley is Lees-McRae College’s first “Pet-Friendly” residence hall. Students may apply to live here after being on campus one semester and upon completion of the pet friendly application.

Cannon Cottage is the housing for Honors Students who desire to live in that community. Women occupy the first floor while men occupy the second floor.

Hemlock Village features suites comprised of a common living area accompanied by four single bedrooms. Each suite has a covered deck that overlooks the Elk River. Upper class men and women can apply with suitemates (of the same sex)to pursue this housing option. Additional fees do apply.

McMillan is housing for sophomore, junior, and senior men and women.

Tate houses men who are sophomores or higher. Community bathrooms, hallways, and the lobby were newly renovated in the Summer of 2011. The “Men of Tate” enjoy the centrality of this residence on campus with quick access to classes, the dining hall, and the student center. Many enjoy playing ultimate Frisbee on the spacious Tate Lawn.

Student Houses and Apartments are a brand new addition to Residence Life at Lees-McRae College. Located throughout the campus, each house has the capacity to hold 4-7 upperclass students. The Apartments house 2 students each and are conveniently located across from the Student Recreational Complex. Additional fees do apply for these housing options.

Each Residence Hall has laundry facilities that are operated by pre-loaded laundry cards. These cards can be purchased as well as have money put on them through vending machines located in the Cannon Student Center.
Visiting Hours for each Residence Hall are clearly posted. For all Freshman Dorms and Halls, visiting hours are Sunday through Thursday 12:00 PM to 12:00 midnight, Friday and Saturday 12:00 PM to 1:00 AM. For all upper class dorms and halls, visiting hours are open 24-hours, this is a visitation policy, not a cohabitation policy. Guests of the opposite sex are not allowed to spend the night.
