It is difficult to tell how you feel about a community until you take the time to observe it for yourself. As a result, there is no substitute for visiting Lees-McRae's campus. Once you walk through our beautiful 400-acre mountain setting, step into the classrooms where you will attend classes, and meet with the professors that you will work and study with, you will understand why students choose Lees-McRae College.
Our visits are scheduled individually and tours are given by current students through our Student Ambassador Program (except during official college holidays and breaks). In a typical visit, a prospective student and his or her family will have the opportunity to meet with their admissions counselor and walk through many of the classroom and residence buildings on campus. The visit will last approximately an hour and a half. We are also happy to make arrangements for prospective students to attend a class or a meet with additional members of the faculty and staff.
Our Admissions Office is open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and campus tours are available Monday through Friday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.*
Saturday tours are offered by appointment only at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and should be made 24 hours in advanced. When your appointment is confirmed, you will receive a personal call or email from a staff member.
*No walk-in tours will be available during the months of May through August.
Please note that tours are not available May 28, May 30, July 2, July 4 and July 30 (Open House).
