  • Work-study Students can complete 110 hours each semester.
  • Students cannot complete more than 20 hours in one week (Saturday-Friday).

    Job Description: Not required to be an athlete. Assist Athletic Training Staff with daily preparations for athletic practices, pre-event set up for athletic games, assist with daily/weekly/monthly routine cleaning and organization of the Athletic Training Clinic, maintain weekly inventories of supplies, assist with administrative tasks as needed (filing, copying, etc.), other duties as assigned. Must be trustworthy, courteous, and have strong work ethic, willing to maintain professional appearance, willing to be flexible with work schedule.

Assist with event set-up and tear down; assist with game day operations and various press box/row duties; Aid in compiling record books and other statistical information for athletic department; Writing and designing press releases and feature stories; Must have demonstrated writing ability, strong communication skills, and exceptional work ethic; Photography, graphic design and video editing skills a plus; Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and have ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

    Job Description: Cannot be Track & Field or Cross Country Athlete. Simple computer skills required, must be able to lift water coolers and track and field equipment. Good organizational skills preferred. Job will include making sure track equipment is moved to appropriate venue 30 minutes before practice, making sure hydration stations are set up 30 minutes before practice, participating in timing of athletes during practice, and retrieving field event implements. Duties include data entry, typing itineraries, and uniform inventory. Other duties as assigned.

Prepare facility and products, serve as sales staff (requires being responsible for money), clean equipment and store items properly, maintain accurate inventory, restock and organize inventory, assist with ticket sales and gate supervision and special entertainment activities, other duties as assigned. Must be trustworthy, courteous, and have strong work ethic, willing to maintain professional appearance, willing to be flexible with work schedule, be cognizant of precautions to handle fool, be able to manage money.

    Job Description: Alongside content manager, help brainstorm ideas for wide range of writing formats including news and feature articles as well as press releases. Pitch your original story ideas for a chance to have one- or several- published on the official LMC website. Develop news-sense all while honing your writing and editing skills--an essential tool for any professional field. Must have a solid, basic understanding in writing, editing (grammar, punctuation, spelling, idea development, AP style is a bonus), photography (though not the focus), deadlines, and time management. Completion of ENG 421 is a plus.

    Job Description: Greet students, guests, and community members as they enter SRC; make sure participants have signed in or completed the SRC waiver; act as area monitor making sure participants are using equipment correctly and using facility in conjunction with Rules and Regulations; enforce Rules and Regulations; assist with inventory and various administrative duties; provide clear instructions to use equipment; check out and check in equipment as requested; make staff aware of any maintenance issues; clean and sweep as needed; maintain neat and orderly atmosphere within the SRC; secure building when shift is over by notifying Security. First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred.
