Hello, I am Meika Jones. I am a graduate of Tellico Plains High School in Tellico Plains, TN. After graduation, I decided to stay close to home and attended Hiwassee College. While at Hiwassee College, I played softball there for two years and received my Associate's Degree. After receiving my degree from Hiwassee I was ready to see the world and be a part of something that would help me obtain a better future. It only took one trip to Banner Elk, NC, for a ski trip with friends to see where my future was headed. While in Banner Elk, I was captivated by the area and the wonderful helpful people I met. This trip to Banner Elk changed my life for the better and later, I decided that I wanted to continue my education and play softball at a higher level. The Lees-McRae family guided me through the entire application and financial aid process with the most professional level of guidance I experienced as a student.
I received my degree in Sports Management and a minor in Business in December 2006 from Lees-McRae College. It is my privilege to work as Assistant Director of Admissions and to share my positive experiences with prospective students and their families, and to help guide you through your college search.
