Lees-McRae College is accepting applications for the position of Head Men’s Soccer Coach for its nationally prominent NCAA Division II men’s soccer program (Conference Carolinas). This is a full-time, benefits eligible position, start date to be determined. Responsibilities: all aspects of program operation/development including but not limited to: recruitment of prospective student athletes; the organization and conduct of practices and competitions for the traditional and non-traditional seasons, budget development/management; fund raising; alumni/parent relations; scheduling; overall administration of the program including the supervision of an assistant coach; and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics in accordance with applicable rules and regulations of the athletic department, College, Conference Carolinas, NCAA, and other related associations. This position may include administrative responsibilities and/or teaching in the required physical education service program.

Bachelor’s degree
a minimum, masters preferred, with at least 3 years collegiate
coaching experience required. The successful candidate must
demonstrate effective teaching methods and possess excellent
leadership, role modeling, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Candidates must demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of NCAA
Division II compliance. Must have a valid driver’s license and be
insurable through the College.

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGIST

The Center for Instructional Technologies is a comprehensive resource for professional development and performance excellence. The goal of the Center is to support the development and integration of instructional technologies into the curriculum by providing training, consultation, and support in the use of computers, video-discs, multimedia, and online resources in the teaching/learning process. The Instructional Technologist is directly responsible to the Director of Information Technologies and coordinates the work of the Center.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Work closely with the academic divisions and programs to facilitate the integration of technology into the curriculum
· Provide opportunities for faculty and staff to participate in a program designed to aid them to develop technology tools to improve instructional effectiveness
· Assist faculty in developing strategies to effectively use an electronic classroom.
· Aid faculty in the use of an electronic bulletin board system for class and open forums
· Work with faculty to develop and deliver online courses and or academic programs
· Assist division chairs, program coordinators and faculty in developing, publicizing, and maintaining course, faculty, division and program information on the World Wide Web
· Identify technology needs in the classroom and coordinate/monitor repairs, accordingly
· Provide professional development sessions for faculty and staff as needed (group or individualized)
· Teach up to 2-3 courses per semester at assigned campus sites, main campus and or extended campus
QUALIFICATIONS
· Master’s Degree required
· Two year’s experience in related field
· Ability to organize, plan and provide training to faculty and staff on various software and the internet
· Must be able to work a 12-month contract cycle

Position: The Business Administration Program at Lees-McRae College, Banner Elk, North Carolina, is seeking to fill the Division Chair and faculty position in Management and Small Business Development for the 2010-2011 academic year. The position is at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level (depending on qualifications).
Qualifications: Potential candidates must possess a Masters (required) or Ph.D. (preferred) degree in the field of Business with emphasis in Management and/or Small Business Development. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to teach courses in the following areas: principles of management, organizational behavior, human resources and entrepreneurship at the undergraduate level. Other responsibilities include advising of students, as well as committee and public service. Special emphasis will be placed on academic and work experience in the area of study. For applicants seeking the Division Chair position, management and leadership experience should be highlighted.
