| Welcome to the Student Recreation Complex Website | ||
 This
historic structure that once was the hub of student life on
Lees-McRae’s campus is being brought back to life thanks to
a very generous gift to the College. Carol and Glenn Arthur,
two long-term friends
of Lees-McRae College, have pledged $1 million for the
renovation of the William N. Reynolds Gymnasium built in
1938.Reynolds Gymnasium is now transformed into the Carol and Glenn Arthur Student Recreation Complex which when completed will house the current gymnasium and indoor rock wall and in the future, cardio and weight equipment areas, a cafe, a fitness classroom and locker rooms. |

 "The
Student Recreation Complex is a wonderful new facility that
has a lot to offer Lees-McRae College and the Banner Elk
Community. The history behind the building is
extraordinary and shows how much the college believes in
having their students make an impact on their environment.
