Welcome to the Student Services Website
  
The
Student Development Office coordinates a wide array of services,
programs, and activities designed to support the academic success
and personal development of Lees-McRae students.
We recognize that the college years will be a time of tremendous
intra-personal awareness, learning and application of
interpersonal skills, and development of many life skills such as
time management, stress management, problem identification, and problem
solving.
We believe in the development of the whole student to include the
physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual components of life.
The Student Development Office provides learning opportunities designed
to challenge students to become well rounded individuals. The Student
Development staff is here to provide guidance and assistance to students
through programming, consultation, and/or referral.
The Student Development staff also places a strong emphasis on
creating a community at Lees-McRae in which every student is
respected for their individuality and unique contributions. We
encourage students to pursue their personal interests while at the
college. As professionals in the field of student affairs, we know that
the most satisfied and successful students are those who take advantage
of the wide variety of out-of-class activities and opportunities offered
on campus. Students are encouraged to connect with other
students, faculty, and staff by becoming active members of our vibrant
community.
In choosing to attend Lees-McRae you are choosing to become a more
mindful, balanced, experienced, and wise adult. As the Dean of Students
my job is to assist you in that endeavor. The entire Student
Development staff is dedicated to your having a safe, challenging,
exciting, fulfilling, and meaningful experience here at Lees-McRae.
