Lees-McRae College offers an Art Minor that requires a minimum of 15 hours above the General Education Core. 

A variety of courses are available in visual arts .  Students may take these courses as electives, or as components in an Art Minor associated with either Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B. S.) degrees.

• Empower students through an interdisciplinary approach to education of the visual arts.

• Inform the students through liberal arts based studio education.

• Provide an environment that encourages exploration and experimentation.

• Inspire students to create, construct, produce, and invent creative ways of communication.

We are pleased to announce that starting Fall 2009, Lees-McRae College will offer a major in Studio Art.  

This major is designed to inform, educate, and motivate students to reach their potential in the Visual Arts.
