Bobcat Mentor Network
Get personalized guidance from someone who has "walked in your shoes."
The Bobcat Mentor Network pairs current Lees-McRae students with alumni who can offer support and advice on academics, navigating college life, and future career plans. Through both individualized one-on-one meetings and monthly presentations from alumni in different fields, students gain an additional perspective and the opportunity to build network connections.
This new opportunity sponsored by the Offices of Alumni Relations and Career and Life Planning provides another resource for students looking to make the most of their college experience and offers alumni another way to give back to their alma mater.

To join the Bobcat Mentor Network, a student must be nominated by a faculty or staff member. After receiving a nomination, the student will be invited to apply to the program.
Alumni who would like to work with a current student or be part of the monthly speaker series should reach out to Vice President for Institutional Advancement Susan Boyette.
“I have so much pride and hope for the program because I’ve seen what a difference it’s made for students and alumni in one-on-one cases,” said Katie Talbert, the director of alumni relations. “We have alumni who are truly loving the connection and students who have loved having someone support them and have a vested interest in their success.”
