Institutional Service and Responsibilities

The Office of New Student Engagement assists new students in their transition to Lees-McRae College from the time of deposit to the end of their first year.

I am an active member of the Early Intervention Team. We work to identify students who may be at risk of not being successful at Lees-McRae College and try to reach them at an early stage in the semester.

Personal Interests

Every success story is a tale of constant adaptation, revision, and change – Richard Branson

What I love most about living in the mountains is the opportunity of enjoying all four seasons: the leaves in fall, snow in winter, and the warmth of spring and summer minus the humidity (and mosquitoes!).

Banner Elk is one of the few places in the Southeast that you can ski, hike, and hang out on the lake without having to travel far from home—and if you ever get the itch for city life, you have Charlotte and Asheville in driving distance!

Outside of work, I spend time with my family playing games, going to college athletic events, exploring the outdoors, and attending festivals held throughout WNC! There is so much to do and see in WNC that I don’t think I’ll ever run out of new experiences!

I hope with my personal experience, I can help students make the transition easily. Lees-McRae College is a wonderful place with faculty and staff who genuinely care about you and want to help you succeed.
