Published author in both law and in biblical studies and queer theory. Worked for the federal government as an attorney investigating allegations of labor law violations. Addressed gatherings internationally, including in Mexico (in Spanish) and Kenya (in Swahili). Winner of a state-wide trivia contest (final winning response, "Fiddler on the Roof").
Attorney admitted to the North Carolina, Illinois, and Arizona bars. Certified Mediator.

Institutional Service and Responsibilities

To ensure that Lees-McRae not only meets the legal requirements of complying with federal and state statutes and regulations but that we strive for best practices in building ourselves into a safe and caring community. In this, we will learn together.

Personal Interests

I was a first-generation college student and have been a pastor, a professor, and an attorney. I love dogs, classic movies, cards (pinochle and cribbage in particular... yeah, I'm a boomer), dragonflies, and Duke basketball.
