Professional Achievements

I have published articles and book chapters on subjects ranging from Shakespeare to authorship to modern drama. I have led numerous study abroad trips to England, and I have acted in or directed nearly three dozen plays, including The Merchant of Venice, Hamlet, The Tempest, My Fair Lady, Hospitality Suite, The Miracle Worker, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) and more.

Institutional Service and Responsibilities

In the role of Provost and Dean of the Faculty, I oversee the academic operations of the college as well as the faculty personnel themselves. Within that umbrella are the library, the honors program, the Stephenson Center and Summer Theatre.

Personal Interests

I love theatre and tennis, almost equally, and I used to be good at both. I have four adorable children—Elsa, August,  Alistair, and Winona—each of whom makes my life amazing and new every day. My wife is an accomplished author and is clearly the more talented of the pair.
