Scholarly and Professional Achievements

I attended Appalachian State University, receiving my Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Cellular and Molecular Biology and a minor in Chemistry in May of 2020. I attended Appalachian State University for graduate school and, after defending my thesis titled "Impact of Adherent-Invasive E. coli (AIEC) on the Small Intestinal Microbiota and Inflammation," I received my Master of Science in Biology in December of 2022. 

Institutional Service and Responsibilities

In began teaching at Lees-McRae in January of 2023. The courses I have taught and currently teach include Cell Biology, Cell Biology laboratory, Introductory Biology II, Introductory Biology II laboratory, Microbiology, Microbiology laboratory, Chemistry I laboratory, and Biochemistry laboratory.
