Scholarly and Professional Achievements

I have published several journal articles and book chapters on instructional design, Learning and Teaching as Communicative Actions (LTCA Theory), and the use of social media, storytelling, and virtual worlds in education. I am a reviewer for two research journals and a peer reviewer for Quality Matters.

Institutional Service and Responsibilities

As an Instructional Designer and never-ending learner, I always look for ways we can enhance student learning and make it more engaging and fun. When we connect the classroom lessons to the real world through critical thinking and thoughtful hands-on activities, we allow for connection-making and more memorable experiences. At Lees-McRae, I support ECOL with technology training and the development of engaging online courses that help prepare our students for success in our ever more complex world of work.

Personal Interests

I am here to support students in their learning by making the courses they take well designed and memorable.
