Musical Theatre Audition Details

As you prepare for your audition to the Musical Theatre program at Lees-McRae, please review the following requirements: 

  1. Students must present two memorized monologues (LINKED HERE).

  2. Students must sing two songs in their entirety following thes guidelines below. You may bring sheet music for the provided accompanist.

    • One song must be from a musical written before 1960 and the other from a musical written after 1960.
    • One song must be an up-tempo piece and the other must be more of a ballad.

  1. All students will be taught a rigorous dance combination during the audition.

  2. Students must complete an audition application (LINKED HERE) and provide two letters of recommendation, a resume, and a headshot to complete the application process.
