BFA Audition Requirements

  1. Students must present two memorized monologues provided by the faculty.
  2. 2. Students must sing two songs:
    • One must be from a musical written before 1960 and one must be from a musical written after 1960.
    • One song must be an up-tempo piece and the second song must be more of a ballad.
  3. All students will be taught a rigorous dance combination during the audition.
  4. Students must complete an audition application and provide two letters of recommendation and a copy of their resume and a headshot with the application.
  5. Freshmen are allowed to audition for the BFA program in the second semester of their first year at LMC. Auditions are usually scheduled in late February or early March on the Banner Elk campus.
