Write your check to Lees-McRae College and indicate your gift designation in the memo section of the check. Mail your gift to the Office of Advancement, where all charitable contributions to Lees-McRae College are processed:

Contributing appreciated securities offers significant tax advantages for you. If you have owned the shares for more than one year, you may deduct their full fair market value as a charitable contribution and bypass all capital gains taxes. Gifts of appreciated stock are fully deductible up to a maximum of 30% of your adjusted gross income. Contributions over that limit, may be carried forward for up to three subsequent years.
Many companies match their employee’s gifts. You may be able to double or even triple the impact of your gift if you (or your spouse) work for a company that matches gifts to higher education. This benefit is often extended to retired employees, as well.
If you manage your finances through your bank’s website, you may set up an automatic draft from your checking account to Lees-McRae College. Your bank may call the service "automatic bill pay," but it is a very easy way to give to Lees-McRae monthly or annually. Lees-McRae employees can make charitable contributions to the College by payroll deduction. To sign up, please fill out a copy of the Employee Commitment Form (found on BobcatNet) and return it to: Alumni House or Campus Post Office Box #5001
If you would like to donate personal property to Lees-McRae College, please contact the Office of Advancement at 828.898.2534. Some gifts require appraisal or advance approval in order to be accepted.
All gifts of real estate require prior approval by the College. A gift of real estate may be a principal residence or vacation, a farm, a commercial building, a subdivision lot, or unimproved land. The gift may be the entire property or a fractional interest in the property. The Office of Advancement can walk you through the approval process. For more information, call 828.898.2534.
Gift Acceptance Policy
The Lees-McRae College Gift Acceptance Policy is a set of standards by which gifts are reviewed, accepted, recorded, and receipted by the college. The policy applies to all gifts of private support received by the college, including departments, programs, and centers.
