In an empty
theatre, on a bare stage, casting for a new Broadway musical is
almost complete. The field’s been narrowed down to just 17
dancers.
For these men and women, this audition is the chance of a
lifetime. It’s what they’ve worked for — with every drop of
sweat, every hour of training, every day of their lives. It’s
the one opportunity to do what they’ve always dreamed of. Not to
be the star, but to get the job … to have the chance to dance
and come through.
Performed as a series of vignettes, A CHORUS LINE is a
celebration of those unsung heroes of the American Musical
Theatre and a celebration of the American Musical itself.

A down-and-out skid row
floral assistant becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an
exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood in this black
comedy with music by Alan Menken and lyrics and book by Howard Ashman.
Soon, “Audrey II” grows into an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed, R&B-singing
carnivore who offers him fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its
growing appetite, finally revealing itself to be an alien creature
poised for global domination.

Show Description
Rodgers &
Hammerstein’s first collaboration remains, in many ways, their most
innovative, having set the standards and established the rules of
musical theatre still being followed today. OKLAHOMA! tells of fun, love
and romance in the lives of the families living in the Oklahoma
territory at the turn of the century.
Although the road
to true love never runs smooth, with two headstrong romantics holding
the reins, love’s journey is as bumpy as a surrey ride down a country
road. That they will succeed in making a new life together there is no
doubt, and that this new life will begin in a brand-new state provides
the ultimate climax to the triumphant OKLAHOMA!
