Leadership Education
There are many
opportunities for students at Lees-McRae College to develop leadership
skills. Students are encouraged to maintain high levels of
involvement outside of the classroom through co-curricular and
extra-curricular activities.

KIBO
One Great place for students to start is our Emerging Leaders Program,
KIBO.
KIBO is a
nine-week experiential program designed to facilitate the growth of
students' leadership abilities.
This program is a fun way to meet other students, and explore ways to
more deeply connect to
Lees-McRae College.
If you enjoy interactive
activities such as Group Interaction Courses, Scouting and fun Camp
Games, you will love
KIBO.
Student Government Association
Students are strongly encouraged to participate in clubs at Lees-McRae
College. One of the great things about our college is that
starting a club is easy. Clubs on campus are formed through the
Student Government Association. The Student Government Association
is closely connected to clubs on campus as it serves as the umbrella
organization for all official clubs on campus. The Student Government Association
or
SGA provides a variety of leadership opportunities through elected
positions, appointments and committee work.
KIBO
II
For students who have graduated from the
KIBO program, we now offer the
KIBO II experience.
KIBO II is
a three day two
night experience specifically for
sophomores, juniors and seniors
who have completed the
KIBO program.
Whereas
KIBO is designed to promote leadership in a community setting,
KIBO II is a much more introspective
look at the students' inner leader.
