International Time

International Time creates opportunities for
International and American Students, Staff and Faculty to do activities together while learning and
teaching each other’s cultures. It's also a time for our campus community
to share their travel and international experiences. At various points
during the year, international students facilitate dinners and mixers, which
allows them time to share their culture through
food, pictures, film and presentations.

“The International Time offers unique
opportunities for students, faculty and staff members of Lees-McRae College to
meet and exchange information about their individual home countries and
cultures. Those of us from the United States can use this forum to learn
about different customs and practices from our international students, as well
as sharing our American
heritage with them. Understanding and appreciating diversities of others
can form the basis for better communication and tolerance.”
