S.A.V.E.
Student Against a Vanishing Environment

The mission of S.A.V.E. (Students
Against a Vanishing Environment) is to inform, educate and carry out ways of
reducing our (human’s) negative impact on the environment, to repair what humans
have damaged and to protect what we have left.
“S.A.V.E.
is a great way for students who are concerned about the health of our planet
Earth to get involved and turn concerns into action. My hope is that the
club will grow in active membership so that we may have a significant effect on
reducing the human impact on the environment at the local, regional, national,
and global scales. There’s a lot of work to be done and we need the energy
of our college students to drive environmental issues to the forefront of our
daily concerns. I am delighted that three S.A.V.E. members will be
attending the Powershift 2007 conference in Washington, DC this upcoming weekend
and will have the opportunity to interact with like-minded students from all
across the US. I am confident they will come back with lots of great ideas
about how S.A.V.E. members can make a difference in all kinds of ways.”
