"The
outdoor adventures offered to students through the
Backpacking and Rock Climbing Clubs connect them to each
other as well as to the surrounding hiking trails and rock
climbing areas in the beautiful mountains near the college.
These connections form a lifelong desire to care for
themselves, others, and the natural world."Dee Thomas Director of Outdoor Programs |
All Lees-McRae College Rock Climbing, Hiking and Backpacking
Programs taking place on National Forest Service Lands are
authorized under a Special Use Permit by the Pisgua National
