The Program

The Nursing Program offers a “2+2” option to nurses with their associate degree in nursing or diploma in registered nursing who wish to acquire a bachelor’s degree. The program focuses on the use of an adult-learner centered approach that recognizes family, home, and employment responsibilities of the nurse who is in college. It is offered on the Mayland Community College campus in Spruce Pine, North Carolina.

Quotes"This program was educationally challenging while at the same time being logistically a breeze. The mix of organized class meetings each week along with the time for independent work on my schedule allowed me to continue to work full time, teach part time and still have a family. The instructors and support staff could not have been more helpful from the time I sent a letter asking for information about the program all the way through to graduation."
