The Lees-McRae College athletic program adheres to and emphasizes the institutional mission to graduate well-rounded individuals willing to lead and serve in the community and world.The Lees-McRae student athlete will prioritize attention to their liberal arts education, with the goal that our graduates will incorporate that knowledge and those skills in their future. Participation in Lees-McRae athletics provides the student athlete the opportunity to develop meaningful and lasting relationships, to understand the attributes of personal character, integrity, and teamwork, and to grow emotionally and physically.  The Lees-McRae student athlete will appreciate the values of sportsmanship, discipline, commitment and leadership.  

The Lees-McRae athletic department strongly supports our college’s mission to learn how to serve others in our college, community, and world.  The coaching staff will provide multiple service opportunities to the student athletes, understanding that one of our fundamental roles is to empower our student athletes to become meaningful citizens in the future.
