 Main Stage

Oklahoma!

August 2nd & 3rd at 2:00 PM

August 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th & 7th at 7:30 PM

Show Description

Rodgers & Hammerstein’s first collaboration remains, in many ways, their most innovative, having set the standards and established the rules of musical theatre still being followed today. OKLAHOMA! tells of fun, love and romance in the lives of the families living in the Oklahoma territory at the turn of the century.

Although the road to true love never runs smooth, with two headstrong romantics holding the reins, love’s journey is as bumpy as a surrey ride down a country road. That they will succeed in making a new life together there is no doubt, and that this new life will begin in a brand-new state provides the ultimate climax to the triumphant OKLAHOMA!

Second Stage

Don’t Hug Me

Tickets: $15.00 - Hayes Auditorium

August 3rd at 7:30 pm

It's the coldest day of the year in Bunyan Bay, Minnesota and a cantankerous bar owner is ready to sell the business and move to Florida, but his wife wants to stay. Bernice the waitress wants to be a singer and travel, but her fiancé wants her to stay. It's a battle of wills when a fast talking salesman promises romance for all through the "magic" of Karaoke.
It's "Fargo" meets "The Music Man" without the blood or the trombones. Original songs featured are "My Smorgasbord of Love", "The Bunyan Yodel", "The Ice House Blues", "Upside Down In My Pickup Truck" and more. Don’t Hug Me was written by Phil Olson with music by Paul Olson.
